Allied Health Services

The team of allied health clinicians in the persistent pain program consist of physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, clinical psychologists, consultatant pharmacist and an acceredited practising ditician. The team has years of experience in providing services to the people suffering from chronic pain and guiding them through their pain journey.

Access to Allied health sessions will be established at the initial assessment conducted by the clinical facilitator prior to the enrolment of the program. In the pain management plan the clinical facilitator identify the allied health sessions potencially beneficial for on going tretment to manage their pain. the final pain management plan will sent out to your GP, to issue the requested Chronic Diases Mnagment Plan (CDM). Once we receive the CDM plan the care coordinator will allocate the recommended allied health sessions.  

CDM plan allows the client to access the maximum number of sessions allocated, by using their medicare rebate while the Persistent pain program cobvers any gap fee inqure. However if the client has already used the CDM plan to see allied health clinician outside the persistent pain program, we can still help them to access certain number of allied health session through the Persistent Pain Program. This will be ducussed in detail, at the initial assessment.
