Fees and charges
Belvidere Health Centre predominantly bulk bills general practice services however as from November 2022, Dr Ruan will be moving to mixed billing. This decision has been made due to the freeze on Medicare rebates and the ever increasing costs to run the clinic. She will continue to bulk bill children under 16, pensioners and concession card holders, CTG and DVA patients. Everyone else will be charged a gap fee. Patients are required to produce a valid Medicare card together with any current concession cards upon arrival.
Eftpos facilities are available, and we request payment on the day of your visit. The reception staff can arrange for your Medicare rebate. For a full list of fees, please consult one our friendly reception staff. As a basic guide our fees as of September 2023

Patient Communications and Policies
It is always preferable to make an appointment to discuss your health concerns with the doctor or health provider face to face. In the event you need to communicate urgently with the doctor over the phone, the nurse or staff on duty may be called to liaise on your behalf. Although we take every precaution with IT security, we do not use encrypted emails and can not guarantee confidentiality of email correspondence.
MBS telehealth items introduced on a temporary basis in response to the COVID-19 pandemic have now been made permanent. Telephone consultations provided by GPs will continue. It remains a legislative requirement that GPs working in general practice can only perform a telehealth service where they have an established clinical relationship with the patient.
